Who am I?

The Purpose of the Mantra

The Purpose of the Mantra

My name is Jared Matlock, and this space is where I bring my thoughts into the world so they can complete their purpose. I don’t write to present conclusions—I write to explore, to stay present, and to turn wandering thoughts into something real, anchored in the moment.

My interests span technology, philosophy, consciousness, nature, entrepreneurship, and the future of humanity. To me, these aren’t separate categories but interconnected expressions of what it means to be alive right now in one of the most transformative eras in human history.

I embrace emerging tools like artificial intelligence not as a replacement for thought, but as an extension of it—technology that allows ideas to be shaped with clarity and shared with more precision and depth. It is one of the great human advancements: the ability to translate inner awareness into outer language with greater fidelity.

The Purpose of the Mantra

“I Am Here, Not There” is not a rejection of the world—it is a return to the only place where life is actually lived: the present moment. It is a reminder that here is reality, and there—whether it’s the future we fear, the past we replay, or the imaginary judgments of others—is a projection of the mind.

This space exists to anchor consciousness.
To practice presence not as a spiritual abstraction, but as a starting point for clarity, creativity, and direction.

Being here allows us to meet ourselves honestly—without self-hatred, without pretense.

Only then can we choose which theres are worth moving toward: the visions, goals, and futures that come from a grounded, compassionate awareness—not from anxiety, comparison, or escapism.

To be here is not to reject there.
It is to choose which “theres” are real enough to shape the trajectory of our lives.
